Thanks fatfunboy!

That Emulator doesn't work with me. I had tried iGo8 and Primo imagens but when I click the iGo8.exe it simple doesn't start with no error messages. Don't know why. On my Russion version it's working.

About the sound issue as was said here probably is something with hardware + .exe file. Because if it works on USB and not with Tunner is not something on my Sys.txt that will change this. I'll give it up :(

So today I found that Primo save "My Home" information but the History of places it doesn't. The Save folder it almost empty. I've try to replace with a new Save folder with a lot of informations (from another Primo package) but same thing occurs.

The same thing happend on my Emulator. The iGo8 save everything on my Emulator, but Primo versions start from the begging "wizard" every time. So if I manage to solve in my Emulator probably will work on my Clarion.

Any clues? Thanks

As stated elsewhere on this forum, some versions of igo8 can control a devices hardware sound mixer, the cracked versions we and other forums supply simply don't have this feature and will never work with sound on these devices.

Some devices that have a wince based mp3 player can play a silent mp3 which can sometimes allow the sound from primo through.

Just as information: I just bought a Clarion Nx602 multimedia to use in my car in Brazil. As it came locked with USA maps I tried to run IGO PRIMO from a own mini SD.

To do that, I reproduced the same path structure and renamed the exe file as found at original card.

After many tries running IGO Primo but without sound I finaly discovered that when I ran music from SD card (not mini SD card) together with IGO program that is located at mini SD card the sound of IGO works good!!!

It is not yet the best solution but I shoud say that is satisfactory for while. I am using the IGO Primo 9.6.12.243837 on my tests.

Hope it can help somebody. Thanks

Playing "silent" mp3's is a workaround for these devices.

do you mean to go to wince before executing the navigation and play some mp3's by wince media player every time the head unit turned on, or there is a specific way to do it easilly? if yes, please brief me how to do it, I wish to give it a try.
thanks

Just play a silent mp3 using the originally installed wince mp3 player (which controls the sound mixer), if this can be automated I don't know.

No luck, I have tried that, still no sound

Try playing a normal mp3 just in case there actually needs to be sound played.

I tried that as well, same result no sound

Are you using the original WinCE MP3 player?

It does work on some devices with this issue.

Tue Nov 27, 2012 9:27 pm

Yes I am using the original WinCE MP3 player.

Tue Nov 27, 2012 9:32 pm

Is there anything else that runs under WinCE that produces sound?

Tue Nov 27, 2012 9:34 pm

I guess the MP3 player is the only one, I checked all windows directory.

You need to use the 3rd party mp3 player available in the device menu, that should be modified to control the sound mixer.
