I am not familiar with your model, but for my Medion Go Pal I use GPS_Menu_Pez ver2.0, which functions quite nicely, but took a bit of effort to get just right.
Unfortunately, the website gpsunlock.net seems to have suffered a partial meltdown recently so finding it, and getting any questions answered or other support may be difficult.
On the other hand, have you looked here----http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?5221-Universal-Shell-V1.0 ?
It uses the same basic concept as Pez (and a few others), but the nice thing is, all the support you might need is right here in this forum. Worth a look and a try at least.

All later model Medions look for \Storage Card\GoCE.exe before loading the original application.

ok I've found
the readme file is so long, for non-english users, and for sure not easy to understand
so, what I did:
copy the content of the MobileNavigator to the root of the sd
rename MobileNavigator.exe and MobileNavigator.mscr to goce.exe and goce.msccr
copy the folder Unversal Shell to the root of the sd

insert sd
start the device

first screen medion wait
explorer screen wich ask to find the start.exe in the UniversalShell folder
after eventuelly bug due to timeout, medion application starts again. stop the device and start again
this tine you'll have the time to accept the condotions of universalshell log
after it asked for exe for the three buttons (I installed v1.3)
after all is allright

Is there still a problem?

Universal Shell RV1.5 has just been uploaded.

The same as with 1.3, first install has a bug just when appears the screen to accept ("yes/no") the general conditions of US1.5
after the second boot, all is allright

a question: it seems that Medion navigator is still running after boot
no problem but how to kill this app?

and another (stupid) question: other languages available soon (french of course)? (and azerty keyboard...)

I continue to discover this cool unlock application
More feedback after use in real conditions (shutdown after loss of alimentation ie)

The command to kill the device shell is device specific, but if you know what it's called it can be added to BootAutorun.mscr is this format...

Kill ("{Shell}.exe")

Where {Shell} is what the original menu is called on your device, (On older Medions' it was just called "Menu")

I failed all my other languages at school, so i can't translate but will accept translations from other people.

All feedback is gratefully received.

I thoroughly test each release on several devices and under emulation before releasing and the only problem i encounter is some original device shells keep reappearing, Killing them solves the problem, You can set the Exit application to rerun the original shell as i have done on some devices, so you can go back to it for device settings and other applications, When it's setup correctly it works 100%. Because of this need to add the command to kill the shell, I purposely don't call this an unlock.

Hello,

first test today of version 1.5, quick start of Primo, no problem with autoshutdown after loss of contact.
But impossible to connect to satellites. After one hour outside, Primo had nothing found.
I don't think Primo's config can help.
I'll try to kill the medion internal application following your tip.

PS: my english is poor but the menu's seems easy to understand, so no additional languages nedded for me.

Does Primo display "Autodetecting GPS receiver" or "Looking for satellites"?

Autodetecting GPS receiver means Primo cannot see the GPS receiver this means either the GPS Port and baud in the sys.txt are not set correctly, or the Gopal software is still running and locked them.

Looking for satellites means Primo can see the GPS receiver but can't get a lock, The baud rate could be wrong or it just needs more time outside.

Autodetecting GPS is the displayed message, so probably after kill gopal software, the gps port shall be disponible for primo. I'll try it. Next step is to find the procedure.
Thank you for interest. The Medion's devices seems not have many favours in forums.

I have an older Medion device (Gopal PNA 210T) and it still is an excellent little (but physically tiny) device, FYI the port and baud settings for it were COM2 @ 4800, I don't know off the top of my head what they should be on yours.
