Does this package needs meta to activate?
And if yes, are the standard meta for 1080 maps?
Thanks in advance

It's really easy to install really.
1. Very important: disable your antivirus, otherwise it will snatch A_F_Activate.exe which is needed for map/navcore patch!
2. Copy content of the SD folder to the root of the FAT32 formatted SD card
3. Start the car and insert SD car and wait for the message: "You cannot use this map on this device: Europe...."
4. Unplug SD card from the system and go to your PC
5. Look for the folder LOOPDIR (fingerprint of your Carminat unit) and open file ext3_loopback with notepad
6. Search (ctrl+F) for the line "uniqueID" (it's 10 digit with letters & number)
7. Write down your uniqueID and close the window
8. open file ttgo.bif with notepad and replace DeviceUniqueID number with your number (10 digits without space between them)
9. Save & close
10. Open the TTactivator and activate the maps! That's it.

Tried yesterday and looks fine. This morning, my TomTom crashed and rebooted few times while driving to work. I will still keep testing but everything seems slower than my previous Europe maps 1045. Menu actions and navigating through settings is fast as usual but while driving, my car indicator moves very slow and it's less responsive than before. If i take turn from one road to another, car indicator is not precise and it moves few seconds later and that is quite iritating. While using 1045, car indicator was current and precise and it responds in "real time" but this one is little bit slow wich is not normal as far as i know. I will keep testing.

Hello,
Thanks in advance for the information provided.
Just some questions plz...
2. Copy content of the SD folder to the root of the FAT32 formatted SD card
So here, I understood it correctly I must first remove the SD card from the GPS on the car then format it in FAT32 and then copy the SD folder of the extrated files on link provided on the post #1

7. Write down your uniqueID and close the window
Here, where can I find this uniqueID?

Thank you again

Cheers!

1. You must take out SD card from multimedia unit and BACKUP it to PC...
2. After this delete ONLY map data from SD card and replace it with new [1085 now] ... in case of need to replace the SD card due to missing a space for new data - COPY all old things [ without old map-s ] and add NEW map data. Make on prepared SD card ttgo.bif file with YOUR device ID as is explained up. Use preferred patcher to activate maps and patch navcore [ for example this one -> tomtom-tools/fastactivate-latest-update-t19452.html or this one -> tutorials/how-update-patch-tomtom-nav3-devices-t21959.html ] are OK.
3. Put card back to car.
Enjoy.

Hello again @debeliamark,

Bellow are the prints of the content of my GPS SD card that I have backed up on the PC:

So if I got it right, the 1st step is to delete the folder 'Benelux' and paste the folder with the map I wanted (in this case the 'Iberia_1085_11310'):
Image

Now about the step 8. open file ttgo.bif with notepad and replace DeviceUniqueID number with your number (10 digits without space between them)...
I have already located the UniqID but I dont know where is located the 'ttgo.bif' file. Should I create a new one?

Then after that step, I must run the Activator aplication right? But before it, I should first place the SD card on the car GPS?

Thanks again and sorry my 'noobness' on this subject...

Cheers

Yes - you need to make text file with name ttgo.bif [ not ttgo.bif.txt ] and fill the correct DeviceUniqueID - it's needed for patchers to do the job [ after maps activating and navcore patching you can delete ttgo.bif ].

Hi again,
ttgo.bif created with the UniqID 10 digit paste on it.

Now I must follow ALL the exact steps mentioned on the topic https://www.navitotal.com/tutorials/how-update-patch-tomtom-nav3-devices-t21959.html when running the TTActivator?
Or I have just to select this option?

Thanks again.

Hello again...
After I run TTActicator and selected the option n.2 posted above, apparently all went ok with the patching and activation...

But when I put the SD card on the car GPS it gave me this error:
Image
It says:
"Problem with the map
You cannot use this maps on the device: Iberia-103286"

Then I removed the SD card and plug it again but I got the same message... :(

Can anyone please give me a tip about what went wrong?

Thks
