I've used the fastactivate.exe, I pushed the buttons to update map, meta and navcore. I have been sitting here for 6 hours confused and I give up now after searching through many threads, I could not find an answer. I checked that the meta was updated and it is indeed, the navcore version seems good as other people with it have had it work from what I searched and when I do patch map it ...

Previously a TomTom owner and it was reasonably easy to change my route by zooming in and touching a point then having TT navigate by that point.

Is there anyway to accomplish this in a simple way on the Garmin Nuvi 40?

For example if I set route for Naples Florida from Canada it follows the route I want until on I-10w in North Florida where it then takes me down hwy 301 to connect ...
