Both have head units which are 2 DIN Blaupunkt New York 830 units.
One has a 2 GB micro-SD card the other has an 8 GB micro-SD card.

Hi, I have a Chinese no name double din. I run Primo 2.4. Primo runs fine and I hear the audio and TTS when the application is 'open', but even if I leave Primo running in the background on my double din, for example if I press the Home screen to listen to a CD, I no longer hear Primo.

I have Garmap 2010 version currently installed in it and i am looking for an updated map that includes All countries for basically the entire african continent as i do extensive travels. I want to change "Special 6" by the name that I want. I have tried to edit the .vif voice file with NotePad to change the name, but Tom Tom does not recognize it and it still shows the original voice name.

Looks like Garmins are easier to update in comparison to Tomtoms, but what's the garmin model that's easiest to update with the maps I can find on your nice board here?

I'd like to avoid unpleasant surprises when I bring home my new navigator...

This may seem like a silly question but would like to know what the issue might be.

I have previously downloaded new maps and used FastActivate to do its work so I can get the maps to work, which is excellent.

When I connected my TomTom device via TomTom Home to see if any further updates available, it did say tiny map corrections and quickfix available.

All was downloaded but hard to say if ...
