I have been watching a couple on ebay for around £20.00. also does this give the speed camera alerts or will I need to upgrade the firmware on the unit to accept this?

Yes I know, "don't ask for metacodes". So I 'm not asking for codes.
What I do'nt understand is; how can someone upload a map without having a metacode? He/she must have bought it first to have the map in the first place?
And since a map without code is usesless, why upload it?
