This car has had its maps updated (it took HOURS !!! :-)) but I cannot see any way to get it to show speed and safety camera warnings. Is there a way to get it to do that or alternatively can I add a speed camera database manually in some cunning way ?

Is it possible to manually access and modify the internal flash memory file system for a nav3 device?

In order to (say) back the whole unit up.

I'm playing with a NAV3 device at the moment. Using TTActivator to update the navcore and maps. It's worked but I don't see a way to access the internal file system.

Windows has the correct tomtom driver so TTActivator can see it.

R-Link Explorer doesn't see the ...

How to upload new maps to this navigation if all new maps are from navcore 9 and the only navcore working on this navigation is 8041?
Does anyone have a working navcore above 8.2 for this navigation?

Is there a way to get the software from a XL v4 on the XL v2

I have a tomtom XL v4 with a bad battery.
Got a tomtom XL v2 with a good battery

But the v2 has not got al the same menu's as the v4

Both the Tomtom's have the latest navcore and maps

i updated my tomtom Go 500 (registerd and lifetime free maps) but after installing it does not start up correctly.
It starts with the tomtom sound, but verry quickly the sound is like a machinegun, and than the systen hangs.
I just see TomTom and its logo on the screen, but have no access to the device over My Drive Connect.
Is there a way to reset the software or is there an other ...
