I've just had to make use of Navitotal's Tutorial on disassembly of the x20/x30 to replace the original battery in my 730 and figured that the following additional advice might be useful for anyone doing the same:

on my GO630, everything is installed on its internal memory.... MAP + OS...

but since there's no much room left for stocking MP3's and some oher Movies,

can TOMplayer be installed alone on an SD card?

or i'd have to install everything on an SD CARD?

Having downloaded Western_Europe_855.2884 and used Fastactivate and works ok.

But when I copy my Mapsetting.cfg from the previous map keeping my favourite destinations/favourites to the new map, it will not load just keeps reloading without getting to the agreements etc to load map and locks up where I cannot shut it down only by manual reset with a pin.

Any clues ??

I 've updated a NUVI 255 with the last europe map (2011.20)and also the firmware (webupdater).I put all the files on a microSD 4gb SDHC .I have also deleted the files in the internal memory.So , the device seems to work but the keyboard ant text are in english language . I would like to change to FRENCH.

NB: First of all , i have done a back-up of the device.....
