A friend wants some POI's added to his TomTom start, but when plugged into the computer, the device wont show up.

I have put the memory card into a card reader, but the only file that shows is TOMTOM.000.

How can I open the file to make the alterations wanted?

The Nuvi 1300 does NOT have lane assist out of the box. I've seen the 1300 LMT advertised with lane assist. I'm guessing the hardware is the same for both model (other than the ability to receive traffic). Is it possible to give the 1300 a different "engine" that does lane assist? Since this is my first post I'll introduce myself first.
I'm Maxim, 18 years old and I'm from The Netherlands.

Since we're going to the USA this summer we would like to take our own TomTom with us (an XXL IQ routes edition (europe)).
Now I was stupid enough to just download a map from the internet and tried to install it on my TomTom, with as a result it doens't work anymore ...
