i joined this forum back in sept and thanks to many of the members on here such as tendriver, i managed to fully update the tomtom to newer maps and settings:-

However, since i have been using it, i have found that after entering a postcode, the tomtom is finding a lot of incorrect addresses which at first was irritating, but now is a big issue as today i was only supposed ...

I currently use a (Sandisk) 2MB SD card in my Go 520 and it runs successfully. Although according to some charts the limit is 1GB. However, I have downloaded the 860.xxx Europe Map that I would like to put on the card but the map is 2.32GB - so I need a larger card. Does anybody have a larger SD working in their 520?

I have a TomTom One which has not been updated in sometime.

Details of the device:

I have made a backup of the device.

I know that the map needs to be updated, I have a new version ready to go.

Would appreciate advice regarding the Navcore

Since there are still user out there struggling to install maps I thought it is about time to make it a bit easier.
And here I present maps that have the installer build in and even bring Fast Activate along!
You can also patch you original Navcore, no extra tools needed.

Downloaded latest 860.3101 western and central europe.

Did as I;ve done before with previous map, connect to PC and added any address to Favourites to set the map setting to the correct format. Then copied (my favourites) map settings cfg over.

But it will now not start only looping as the previous map and locking up.

Any tips

Got an email from TomTom today having links to a joint TT/Sony product:-

Have the truck map 860-3122 but can't find which navcore to use.
it's going onto a 520 and i am not sure what to do cos its been awhile.
can some one please point me in right direction.

About 3 weeks ago I downloaded truck map 8.55.From this site
We are going on a trip next week so i decided to do a back up on my laptop and check that home was working on the lap top.
When i connected home told me that there was a new truck map 860. and do I want to download it????

I've got a tomtom one 3rd edition. It came with a UK and Ireland. I've downloaded an updated one from this site and it worked really great after using FastActivate. Then I downloaded a South Africa map (as I'm flying to SA next week) and also used Fast Activate to activate the map (it shows as activated in my TomTom Home PC app).
