I am new of this forum and I need help for installing/uploading a new map. Probably I am not following the right procedure.
I have

DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=XL
BootLoaderVersion=10012
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9151
ApplicationVersion=605385.2
CurrentMap=Central_Europe
CurrentMapVersion=850.2781

I want to upload the Greece map. I downloaded those files: Greece_870_3405 and ENG_FastActivate_28.03.2011_Premium_edition_v1.8.6.6.

I follow the Method 1, as indicated:

1. Plug your tomtom device with the USB to your PC or card reader
2. Copy "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" to your TomTom ...

ok, so i have a TT One IQ,

and it wont boot past the tomtom hands logo,

reset doesnt work, clear flash doesnt, NC update via TTH doesnt work

the only interaction i can get from this unit is when i format and update via TTHome to NC 8415, it will then boot and ask for my preffered language and units etc, but crashes as soon as i set the time - locks up then ...

I have just got a XL 350TM from the USA and i'm taking it back to the UK with me. It comes with traffic and maps updates for the US only. But i'm just wondering where it gets traffic information from and wonder if I could get this to work in the UK with a UK map?

i recently installed the map Central_Europe_870_3417 the posted from lonsdale( thx)
on my asus 639 pda with tomtom version 7.918
and got an out of memory problem
it worked fine with the western_europe 865.3252 maps
is there a solution to make the Central_Europe_870_3417 work ?

With the demise of the old GPSUnderground site a year ago, whose experts originally helped me setup my ONE XL, I thought I might find some of them over here on this site...and they might be interested in advising me on this matter...(?) Or somebody else...(?) Please !

Does anyone know if when connecting your version 10 device to your PC or Mac, you can still access the flash memory and/or sd card using Windows Explorer or the Finder?

Is is possible to patch the version 10 navcore and add new maps like with version 9?

I've loaded Europe_870_3460..And then loaded Italia_870.3406 and Iberia_870.3417

But I only get the Europe Map in the About screen... and can't find where to swap map...

Can I only have one map on SD Card?

Hi, all i'm new to this forum my tom tom is bricked and i am unable to get my it to work, i have tried resetting it, tried a different sd card to no avail so i i'm hoping somone can help me.
