Questions regarding XL (2008)

Hi all, I know these questions will sound stupid for some, but I will try to ask them so it's clear and they may be answered quickly, because I feel quite unsure.

I have a TT XL.

According to the model comparison chart, this seems to be similar to the XL340. That one uses a newer boot loader and a later Navcore.

Can/should I upgrade to the later Navcore?
Would I get things like IQ ...

F&H G422 TT7 7.450 - No Maps Found

I have installed TT 7.450 and Europe West 870.3514 map on a micro SD which is the same setup as my Navigo but when the TomTom software starts I get the No Maps Found screen. I have used a tt7_keygen to produce the Europe_West-366.meta.dct for the machine (exactly as with the navigo - which works fine) but the G422 will not load the map. Does anything on the G422 have to be edited to get ...

Tom Tom One Xl Bricked?

Hello all,
My brother was attempting to update my Tom Tom for me while I was away and ended up deleting the contents of my devices root folder, without completely backing them up.(He says he did not format it, Which I have been made to understand would of been the death of the device)

language and syntax pronunciation

Hi all, bit of a strange question. Where does tomtom store all of the files for the speaking voices? The reason I ask is that my daughter is studying linguistics and phonetics at university, and was interested in how the instructions are formed and how the voice spits out street names and the pronunciation.

I've had a look in the Loquendo tts folder, but cant find anything that makes sense.

Its a GB voice that ...
