I recently bought a TomTom Go Essential (model 4PN50.001.02) and I would like to change / update the map to truck version. There is no option in the device or inside TomTom MyDrive that allows me to change the version of the map. I have been reasearching this problem for quite a few days now and it has been really hard to find anything about this device. I'm guessing the only way possible ...

Hi....just thought I post a quick question on here to highlight my ignorance, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I use an old Tomtom Go 920, or at least I did until it died a couple of months ago. I was happy with the device, despite the maps being very out of date. It did everything I needed it to do, as a motorcyclist....A to B routing with avoidances, turn by turn ...

Is it possible to update a Via 110 ? If so how can I do that ?

Hi, trying the ttconv-v11.zip on my version 9.510. Using XP I extracted the files to TomTom(E:) and rebooted the tt xxl. It still reads version 9.510 and 6 satellites but the time does not correct from 12:00. Is there a fix?

At present I have a TomTom 720 that I`ve had for 10 years, but now I`m thinking of getting a TomTom GO Essential 6 inch.

Could some one please tell me if its possible to install my own POI`s and speed camara files to the TomTom GO Essential 6 inch?

I'm having problems getting my Tomtom One, 3rd Edition, to connec to my phone (iPhone).
I've installed Navcore 9.701.1238656.1 with UK & ROI Maps 1040.9800

Everything works fine, except for the Bluetooth part.
Bluetooth is enabled on both the phone and Tomtom.

Is there something I'm not doing?

I have a problem with a TomTom One (v2)
Sometimes it finds the GPS signal within a minute.
And sometimes it takes more than 10 minutes to find a GPS signal.
How is this possible?

I'm using NC9.510_DSA_For 32Mb_ram
And I used QuickGPSFix with TTActivator v1.7

Is there a way of checking which chipset a any particular TomTom has for locating satellites please?
Using FastActivate if the ephem folder is empty you have a choice of Sirfstar or Global locate but is handy to know which.

Hi,
I was looking at the alert sounds in TomTom and there's not much to choose from and they basically sound all the same. I would like to have a sound that stands out from the rest, E.g. a submarine dive sound as compared to a light "ding - ding" sound.

Can additional sounds be placed in TomTom alerts or is one stuck with what's available in there?
