Which second hand Tomtom sat nav could I buy that I could upload new maps to ?

I bought one which wasn't possible to update the maps :(

Normally reading this forum solves basically all my problems this time however.... I'm stuck.
And when I say stuck I mean stuck as in feet-in-the-concrete-stuck.... Ok. Here is the story.

I have the following device :

TomTom ONE XL HD Traffic (4Z00.003)
Boot Loader Version 5.5.022 (Updated it myself due to the 8Gb SD-card I use.)
32 Mb RAM, 4.4 Mb free
App 7.301 (8636/071112) (Latest version downloaded via TT-Home)
Map 'Western_Europe_1GB' v710.1617 ...

First problem :
My GO750Live show the time as 0:00 and after I setup the time it stands for some time but then at once the time is again 0:00
What can be the problem ?

Second problem :
I was driving today and it supprice me that the road on the map is behind the reality.
For example when I have to turn right the map is not that far

I have just found this website and i was looking to unleash a little more life in my tom tom one 3rd edition.

Ive looked through this forum for the best outcome on this tom tom.

it appears the latest best navcore version for this tom tom is 9.541 (correct me if im wrong) it was running 8.010 before that but that was the official from tom tom.

ive backed up as per instructions ...
