Hi Guys,

I have a Garmin 2467 (without SD card), and would like to replace the internal map with City Navigator® Europe NT

Had a read through the tutorials and cannot find where is the internal map file stored so I could back it up and delete it.
After what I could copy the downloaded .img file over to the Garmin's internal memory.

I have allready downloaded the City Navigator® Europe NTU Original Image ALL: ...

Hi there

I've downloaded and installed North America maps on my 780 SD card and they works fine, just copied the img file.

Do I need to do something else? I've seen there are others G2S, Sqlite files etc... But I cannot find their counterpart in the system device folders, maybe it's for something not supported by the device?

Is it necessary to update the gmapbmap base map file on a Garmin? I've been "updating" the maps on friends and family Garmin's for years now and I never thought of this before. What does the base map do anyway? Thank you in advance to any and all who can provide some insight here!

After reading the tutorial stickies, I ot a bit confused you don't really need a SD-card, do you?
I made a folder named Map, and put the North Africa file, plus 3d file, in there.
The map seems to work, but there are no 3d stuff (maybe there are not in Morocco?)

What is the reason to have an external card instead of using the internal space, as long as you got ...

After plotting numorous routes using Garmin Basecamp I then send them to my device which is the nuvi 3790t to use. they show up on the device BUT when I try to use them all I am getting is a box popping up with the word APPROACHING in it, please can anyone advise a solution or tell me what I am doing wrong ?

Hello. Recently I joined this forum to update a Tom Tom Go 710 to the lastest maps and software version. I've followed a guide in a thread and everything went fine.
Now I'm asking for help to update the maps inside my Garmin (the one that comes with the VW Up) and maybe even add support for speedcams (italy is full of them).
