I've got a new Drivesmart 61 LMT-S with Europe maps.
I want to add US maps but whatever i try, i always get the message that the maps are damaged and unusable.
Used the unlocked image D3836180A.img and also gmapsupp.img. These were copied in the unit in the Garmin/maps folder but also on a SD card in a Garmin folder.
The message when starting the GPS is always that the maps are damaged and unusable ...

I have a Nüvi 250W with CN Europe NT2014.40 map on the SD card. The gmapsupp.img has a size of 3.284.992.000
I want to update the map but don´t know which map I should download, can someone help me ?
I also understand that to renew the map I only have to replace the img, is that so ?

There are some other gpi files on the SD card, araodtoll.gpi and euspeedcam.gpi are dated ...

I had a look at my old post, and was hoping i may have included how the hell i did it... lol
Can any one tell me if there is an update available for uk & ireland i'm guessing it may be 2017.30, but truthfully i haven't got ...

I've seen numerous maps available for the USA, but I only require maps that would cover Florida.... If I need to download a larger map covering a larger area that's not a problem, I just don't know which one is which..

Would really appreciate some help/guidance on this...

after doing some more research i was surprised to find that (i think) i need this: America - City ...

Looking to buy a unit, something similar to this one:

but also like to have the option to add maps to t from here, e.g. USA, Canada and parts of Europe when going on holiday.

Would it work? Would the life time maps update continue to work once I add the other maps?

Does Garmin have a Postcode/Zip folder etc like TomTom, if so.

Where are the downloads to keep up to date with the postcodes for the UK

Need help, I am normally messing with TomTom maps etc and not a clue with Garmin.

But my son has a NUVI 760 and his map etc is totally outdated.

So is there a link etc of how of to download/install which map for the UK and speedcams onto a sd card for use.
