Hi,

Stupidly I have left my regular sat nav unit (iGo) with US maps somewhere I can't get to before a looming holiday to Florida.

Any ideas on my next best option?
I have an HTC Wildfire S phone. Is there a way to put Florida sat nav on to that that won't use data (i.e. not google)?
Alternatively I have an old Garmin Nuvi. Would it be more cost effective to put Florida maps ...

any suggestion would be very much appreciated

I am looking for an advise to decide which android navigation program to use.
I need one which has a TTS (Text-to-speech), so it will announce street names with turns.
Looks like IGO, CoPilot, Navigon, Papago, Ndrive, Sygic all has android versions, but I do not know if any of them has working TTS.
Any reply would be appreciated !

In Israel we need to add this lines to sys.txt file:


allow_special = 1

i have tryed adding it (by adding ".zip" at the end of the "apk" file, duoble click on the file, finding sys.txt file, editing it, saving getting out and winrar updated the file and deleting the ".zip" from the file name) but it did not work.

what did i do wrong?

Hey Guys, I have got myself a new android phone its a HTC HERO I have installed iGO my way and added the map and poi's from the primo along with TTS and other voices. Although the TTS shows up on the settings screen when I click them they do not work. Can you confirm to me if TTS works on android.

Not a new user of igo, neither of Android. So for 2-3 weeks I had igo primo installed on a desire HD, everything worked magically then one day I decided to install a custom rom, the CyanogenMod, maybe some of you heard of it, now I reinstalled igo and the voice stutters. No hardware has changed, same sd card.
