If there are say 9 files, do you have unzip them all and then install them all to your device?

got me a second hand go500 which was supposed to be not working but only fault I found was it didn't power up unless it was plugged in (not worried about that)
anyway, when start it says no maps found
took sd card out and ran my-config and got this info (id and serial removed)

i downloaded this map, got to the navitotal.com install page put password in, chose the destination file, and right at the end i got a error message archive is either unknown or damaged, as anyone else had this problem, if so how do you go about rectifying?

I have a Tomtom XXL IQ Route Edition
I tried to update my navcore with Tomtom Home from a patched navcore and now it's stucks on boot screen...

I already tried to delete files from computer and Tomtom too. Then I tried update from TTH.

Now I just tried to update navcore manually and Tomtom still stucks...
already done a chkdsk too.

Do you have any idea?
