I am new to the world of updating a tomtom and I would appreciate some assistance if possible. I have a tomtom go 730 and I would like to update the maps. I would like a north america map (Canada, USA & Mexico), which of the 3 865.xxxx versions would be best for my device? What are the differances between the 3 versions? Is it the Navcore version, TomTom model or TomTom themselves determining the Mobile phone connection via Bluetooth.

I know my sons Iphone3 will not connect with my TomTom and yet my Sony Ericsson will.

I was able to unlock my Windows CE PNA GPS unit and load iGO8 and all seems to work great except for the battery status.

Battery is fully charged but it says it only has one bar and will not turn blue when connected to power.

Any suggestions?

iv recently bought a head unit for my car, with satnav functions, but, i dont know how to get the program on. its called a Caska 3638. its i direct replacement for the standard head unit on an 07 astra vxr. i want to put a tomtom setup on it but have no idea how to, can anybody help

I'm attempting to download the Western Europe 865.3256 map and (after getting round all the pop-ups) I'm faced with about 8 parts to the maps...each about 200mb - part01.rar to part08.rar....1.78gb in total.

If I download these do i need to consolidate them into one folder on my device or do i install each one separately and be left with 8 separate maps to switch between?

is there anywhere with just one file to ...

trying to update to latest maps on my tom tom go 750 and when i copy folder onto device and run activator and restart 750 it says that maps are not valid for device.
