Howdy folks, My Dad is looking at getting a TomTom VIA 160 (NZ version), can anyone tell me if a navcore/map patch exists for this model (or is anyone working on one?).

I have unlocked *.img maps which work OK with Oregon, but my GPSMAP 62s says: "Cannot unlock maps". Have you got any idea what can be wrong? Is there different system of unlocking in 62s? I've already tried to unlock MapSource version of map with unlocker, MapSource is happy and map is unlocked in PC, but after uploading to Garmin's SD card it dooes'nt work.

Alternative way some devices (all device, use some similar way):
For the newer models (e.g. Nuvi)

• Turn on your Garmin GPS.
• Select Tools > Settings > System > About
• Write down the ten (10) digit Unit ID

For older models (e.g. GPSMAP 60)

• Under Main Menu select Setup
• Under Setup select System
• Select Menu button on GPS
• Select Software Version
• Write down ...

Hi all
i have a chinese 6 inch GPS running igo primo or igo 8. with dimka skin ( which i prefer) and i was hoping to find a setting which wakes up the unit when external power is connected and put unit in sleep mode when power is dis connected.
currently primo goes into sleep mode as well as igo 8 but igo 8 freezes when you try to wake it up.

I've got a G0930 with the original 8.351 navcore.

I originally upgraded the navcore to 9.150.554646 and it worked fine on the device, but HOME was throwing an error saying that this version of the application isn't allowed on my device and updates were disabled.

I restored my backup to the original device navcore, and installed map 860.3101 with the automated installer.

It works fine on the device and updates are available again, but when ...
