For gpsmap66s I am afraid you need to patch firmware in order to use protected maps. I suppose you already have tried with qimgunlock.

What is the DEM in TopoActive Europe 2019.20 UN for?

Can anyone help me with these files please?
I've downloaded Topo Active Europe posted by GarmanNuvi on Mon Aug 26, 2019 1:24 am but extracted .img files report "Can't Unlock Maps or Can't Authenticate Maps" on Etrex 30x. They open ok in Basecamp.
Unlockers Garmin UnLocker Alternative 7.1.6 and gimgunlock 0.04 won't work.
How can I get them working?

How good is this supposed to be? I compared to my Finland Topo Pro v2 whichi shows a whole bunch of details in my location but this TopoActive had basically nothing, a green outline for land and blue for sea

Its not as good as premium maps but should be good enough. There is plenty of detail for Ireland. Are you using the North East IMG? It uses a different data source (OSM based) to the premium maps and in any case premium maps wouldn't be premium if they all had the same data?
