GarminNuvi is absent for the time being so he won't be checking his PM's...I don't know the password myself so I'm afraid you'll have to wait until he returns

Can't get these to work on my fenix 7s or epix 2 unfortunately.

I have verified they are unlocked using garmin file toolkit but still get the cannot authenticate error. I can see I can't patch the firmware is there any other way to get them to work?

Haven't had this error with other maps on the forums but don't know if they work a different way?

Many thanks for this, it is possible to get the password please? What software can be used on a Mac to "patch" it so that it can be installed on a Garmin Fenix 7x?

Has anyone managed to get these files working once they have downloaded them?

Tried again today and still can’t manage it.

Maybe the maps are locked and signed. Use gimgunlock and maybe also a patched firmware for your device.
Which device do you use?

Have you tried watching them on a USB key with BaseCamp or placing them in the GPS?
In fact I think that there is no installation to do, you have to put it as it is in the map folder of the Garmin GPS.

I downloaded the files, put them in a Garmin/Topo GB 25K folder, then launched BaseCamp, the files load and I click on one that shows up fine in BaseCamp, it should be the same on a Garmin GPS.

I have Garmin BaseCamp for Macbook.

I have downloaded the files mentioned above. i.e. gmapsupp image and four other image files and a sql folder.

I am trying to import them into BaseCamp but it says they cannot be imported.

Anyone know how to get them to load into BaseCamp for Macbook?

These files are for use directly on a gps device - not for basecamp. You may be able to view them while the device is connected

These four *.img files are loadable for Basecamp see my previous intervention in which I put an image of Basecamp with the image of the GB, as I said, you have to put these files on a USB key in the Garmin directory , if they are not in a Garmin directory, Basecamp cannot find them.

You see in this image at the top left the four *.IMG files which are displayed by the name of the map.

Just an update which may be helpful for MacBook users.

As per earlier post by mimichris, you can use BaseCamp (for Mac) with these 5 image files. You must put them on a USB drive in a Garmin folder and when BaseCamp loads, it will automatically find the files on the USB drive and loads them so you can see them within BaseCamp.

If you want to see the maps on your GPS device (I have a Garmin GPSMAP 78S and they work on this device) then you must first unlock the 5 image files with gimgunlock (look in the Garmin software forum on here) and then put the 5 unlocked files (I also put the SQL folder) into a Garmin folder on the device or SD card if you are using. I put the 5 unlocked image files and SQL folder in a Garmin folder on an SD card in my GPSMAP 78S and when I switched it on, it found the maps and loads them as they are now unlocked.

Hope this helps.

Hi mate
No i have not, my current GPS is broken and new one wont arrive till santa does ! Will try putting on usb or memory card thanks
Edit:
Well i loaded all the image files and the sql folder onto a memory stick, and placed them all in a folder called Garmin. Basecamp seemed to read all the maps , when i removed the memory stick and placed it back in computer it was corrupt , cant read it , cant format it says its right protected, its not. Took a chance and did the same on a memory card but left out the sql folder, all is working well, can someone tell me what the SQL folder is what it contains ? it appears to be database files but for what ? My current thought is that this is what has corrupted my memory stick anyone have any thoughts ?
