The JCV file for the 2022.10 map update from Garmin produced four separate JCV files:


D1279430A.JCV 802MB
D2334380A.JCV 222MB
D2335380A.JCV 753MB
D3060350A.JCV 831MB


Since there is not enough room on the 1490T main unit, I placed these 4 files on the SD card in a d:\GARMIN\JCV folder as I did with the single file in the past, but they do not appear to work when I simulate a route.


Do they need to now be in a different folder, or any ideas on how to make them work, or maybe they won't work on a 1490T?

The D3060350A.JCV is the sequential update to the previous working D3060340A.JCV large for North America, try with only that file on the SD card
d:\GARMIN\JCV\D3060350A.JCV

The D3153350A.jcv 25.3 MB is the reduced version

These have been the only two files( large or small) for a number of years I have used.

I have only looked quickly at the junction view images associated with each file, but it looks like the first 3 are regional JCV files, guessing by their size ???
maybe someone else might like to test my theory out ? I will just use the large file with N.America on the SD card as usual.

Interesting thought. How can I look at individual images in a JCV file? Looking at the raw data didn't help any.
