Install America Maps on Nuvi 154 (loaded is Euro maps)

I have an URGENT request. I thought I could simply purchase the North American maps from Garmin and install them on my device, but I guess it's not as simple as that. I bought the Garmin Nuvi 154 LMT in Germany when I was stationed there. Now, I am going on a road trip to Canada this evening and realized I can't easily buy and install the North American maps.
I've searched and searched this forum. I found some maps, but I don't know which files I am supposed to download and install, etc... Can you someone link me to a how-to and which files I need to download? I am a complete newbie at this. THANKS!!!!!

You must download the unlocked files from the Image ALL: (Dont download the locked files. They will not work)
After you download and extract, you will have a file called gmapsupp.img. Create a folder named "Garmin" and place the img file inside. Now copy the Garmin folder to an sd card.
The path to the sd card must be: /Garmin/gmapsupp.img
Insert the sd card to your device and the maps will be available.
I explained it to you because this is your first post, but nex time look at the existing threads on the tutorials.

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it. I was looking through all the tutorials and threads, but it was just so overwhelming I didn't know where to start. Thank you again!

I'm in the same boat; bought my Nuvi 154 in Germany, and was hoping I could add US maps when I got back, so I've been scouring this forum and can't seem to find any working links to DL the US maps for my Nuvi 154. Any chance there is a new site/link where I can get them?
