A friend has the 66sr firmware unpatched, with the code page at 1252 on everything except the LBL at 65001 the card is fully readable, try this too.

Yes the LBL must never be modified for the map to work.

thanks for posting!!!

It hurts, to read the complains here in his thread:
it might be toooooo complex for most users, to
- unpack a .rar file
- conversate in English
- update their unit's firmware
--> looks like Garmin is pretty successful with their measures to prevent unauthorised copies of their maps...

What do people expect here: to get a 250 € product for absolutely free and with no effort ???

sorry, i'm disappointed...
Chris

Hi everyone,
someone know how to install it on my Garmin Edge 830 ?
I put the files on it (map in GARMIN directory, .db in SQL directory), but I didn't see the map when I switched the GPS on.

Hello,
the north and south maps are installed on my Garmin 1030.: 022:
But does not work.
What are these two north and south "Data base files"?
There is no unlock key like other Topo V3, V4, V5 versions?
thank you.

bonjour,

merci.

Hello,
You have to patch the firmware with IMGPatcher 220. and put this patched firmware back into the GPS and restart it. At your peril....

I just installed these files on my micro sd card.
Instead of version V5, which did not work following an update from Garmin.
V6 still not working on my Garmin 1030?

you have an idea of what is missing for the operation? :022:

I just installed a software version older than V11.10. to be able to read the topo V5, instead of the new software V12. And it works for the topo V5 france now ... Tomorrow I will try to put the V6 with this software V11.10 ... to be continued...

beware of this new software V12 update, impossible to read topo V5 on Garmin 1030 ...
