You said "would like to update (gmapsupp.img) map (with JCV. file) on a 8 Gb SD card" so we understood this old device had run out of internal space years ago.

Your device uses these NT maps which are the latest. Full Europe is 2 .img files now due to the 4Gb file limit.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to put spoiler here, otherweise I would do my Device infos and what I have done till now.
I have unpacked the 6 .rar files from post 3 and now have .gmap file with contents like post 4. Now how can I create .img ? and will it make automatically 2 different .img files (gmapsupp.img and gmapsup1.img) as you explained ? I am using pc

Forget about the gmap option these are the files for PC programs to create custom map sets.
The easiest is to use the 2 unlocked .img files shared directly from another members device.
All you have to do is download the 2 files from Post # 1 and arrange them on your SD card & rename gmapprom.img to gmapsupp.img as the above answer

I asked you to share your garmindevice.xml privately via my Drop folder so I could see what features your device uses.

I have Garmin Zumo 660. what files my device understand ? .. and use... JCV ? ASR ? ..other ? and what is the right folders about this in my SD card ?

I have downloaded new map: City Navigator Europe NTU 2023.10 FID 9413 for older devices Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2022.10 FID 8929
And i have no clue on how to install this new map on SD card. Can someone help me with this ?
I searched around but didnt find any guide on how to install this map on SD card.
