Would be great if someone could tell me again which files I absolutely need and where to copy them to

The nüvi 2595 is one of the [Please Register or Login to download file] , I would just buy and SD card around € 5.00 for a 32Gb and put all the files so it covers the whole of Europe NTU and leave the the N.American maps alone. This would make it have all the features as if it was bought in Europe. The other benefit of using an SD card is if a file gets corrupted you can unplug the SD card and start again, its a very different process if the corrupt file is on the device :022:
On a FAT 32 formatted SD card create 2 folders Map & Garmin download and copy the files directly to the SD card as below

Hello,

thanks for the quick help, I have copied the files to an SD card as indicated, the maps are basically also up and I can navigate to larger cities, however it does not find me any addresses, places etc. in the search. Any tips on what I could try?

Kind regards

Hello, guys. You are doing a great job, and I am very grateful to you. I would like to ask you, if possible, to upload only the ex-YU map. Thanks in advance.

Moved from City Navigator Europe NT 2025.10 FID 12327

Postby ilovemaps1337 » Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:24 am

Hello!
Could anyone help me - I am new to this.
I recently got 2 devices - nuvi 52 and nuvi 58.

Will these maps work for these models? What exactly do I have to do after downloading them?
Thank you very much.

Hello,

I think these models use NTU maps and maybe you need (if it's possible) to flash their firmwares to use unlocked maps.
Check this post and search in with the HWID of your devices : software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987.html

As Pilou37 posted they both use NTU maps for Europe, thats why I moved your post to this thread
Your nüvi 52 can use these unlocked maps straight away
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Your nüvi 58 will require Patching to use Unlocked maps.Look in your garmindevice.xml to find your HWID then search the thread given above
<PartNumber>006-BXXXX-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>00</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>nüvi 58</Description>
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Both of the devices will have limited internal memory so it is best to use an SD card formatted FAT 32 16GB or 32GB the images showing lay out are for an SD card

Hello, is this compatible with Zumo 595? Can someone give me a description so I can install it, even an older European version would be perfect. Currently it is version 2024.10 but it refuses to update to a higher version, Garmin Express even offers it, but unfortunately it throws an error after downloading. It only has half of Europe and somehow the other part of the map disappeared and I can't see it in myMaps :( Thank you very much in advance.

Yes your device uses these NTU maps for Europe.
Sounds like you have Lifetime map updates ? Your device is most probably out of storage. Get an SD card formatted FAT 32 and add it to your device, normally Garmin Express will prompt you to do that ?

If you want make a copy of your garmindevice.xml put it into my Drop folder and I can check it out.

I thought I had low storage space so I deleted it. I deleted all the Maps but Express still refuses to update, it downloads files and when it starts copying it throws an error and I find this in the log file: 2025-05-01 08:34:46.1612 | 2 | E | App[] - Exception thrown by unobserved task.

I've tried on another computer on another network with an older version of Express but nothing. I can't even save the maps to my computer to upload them to Zumo with mapinstall.
I formatted my SD card to Fat32, 16GB, but it still won't install the update...

I have no idea what to do with this... Can I upload these maps that I download here?
