Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

The latest City Navigator Europe NT 2013.40 mapping update has been
temporarily disabled due to a potential issue in the cartography.

Our engineers are currently working on a solution to this and are acting
upon this as highest priority.

As such, no map updates for the 2013.40 version will be available until
we are completely satisfied with the new map update.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know.

HI all of You.
I just tested the newest 40 NTU on My Nuvi250W. It works perfect on my old GPS! Tested with addresses in Hungary,Austria,Germany Serbia (stupid way to find adr. by Garmin ! in Serbia) Also some test in Romania.Try it in your device ! I love to play with GPS.TT is the worst in my opinion (Good HW! but no more) iGO for Win..too much junk on it...GPS is not a TV player.Good maps but poor HW but half price...+-. Good to play with it for Skin makers :-) .Best regards from Budapest Hungary. (home of iGO)

Copy the directory "City Navigator Europe (Unicode) NT 2013.40.gmap" complete in place Garmin maps installed (usually in Windows XP in
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps\") with what qudaría well:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps\City Navigator Europe (Unicode) NT 2013.40.gmap\

Just downloaded the gmapprom.part01.rar
...

files. On "unzipping" them the gmapprom.img file totals 2.98 Gigs.

Two questions for my 255w Garmin:

1) The max capacity for that device is 2 Gigs are there any recent Europe imgs that are within that range?

2) I thought the name of the file was supposed to be gmapsupp.img...

Any help appreciated.

With current firmware your device can read map images > 2GB.

About image names read >>>here.
