Re: City Navigator Europe NT 2024.10 FID 9588

Hello

Thanks to the OP for the precise work !
I have to update two devices with symbian OS, which are only capable to read <2GB files.
Loooking on the first post's picture (the coverage), I would not need the Nordics, UK, IE and IS.
All other countries are of use.
Assuming this, can somebody make 2 or 3 files from the entire EU map, please ?
Each one should be under 2GB by teh forementioned reason. And the files shall to be used toghether, so a match between them will be necessary.

Will be grateful for your help.
Best Regards

Added to Post #1
Partial West EU 1.86 GB .rar - 1.4 GB
Partial East EU 1.66 GB.rar - 1.2 GB
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Or use the Microsoft installer (MSI) or just copy the City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2024_10.gmap folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps to use with Mapsource/Basecamp. & create the files you want.

Hello, is there any way to remove most of the countries from the Eastern Europe except the Balkan countries and Turkey. I need to make the img around 1.2GB so it can fit on my nuvi 250w internal storage and Western Europe on SD. I tried splitting the image woth gmaptool and then joining what I needed but it didn't work out. I would put everything on SD but sadly the thing only supports 4GB SDs max.

Moderator Note
your nuvi 250 uses these NT maps

Your nuvi 250 uses these NT maps so I moved your post look at Post #1 to find a combination you can use,or create your own with Mapsource or BaseCamp

@Alekso550
Partial West EU 1.86 GB .rar - 1.4 GB & Partial East EU 1.66 GB.rar - 1.2 GB from post # 1 should meet your needs.
If you want to create your own I would install & use MapSource ,& download the unlocked gmapfolder from Post #1
then use the Microsoft installer (MSI) or just copy the City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2024_10.gmap folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps to use with Mapsource.

MapSource download

Hello. sorry I am a newbie. I have a 1200 model, downloaded the Central region + JCV, on sd created the garmin's subfolder map with gmapsupp.img in + JCV subfolder with the JCV file in. As read in the above post by ukabitenyo. But looking at the map info of device, there is not the new map but still the old one (CN europe NT 2010). What did I do wrong ? Many thankx for the answer, regards K.

This should work, check the name of the old CN europe NT 2010 map in the hidden .system folder
On a FAT32 formatted SD card
Garmin\JCV\D3092300A.jcv
Map\gmapsupp.img
or try
Map\gmapsup1.img

Hello
These are the main files on the hidden .system folder : gmapprom.img - gmapbmap.img - gupdate.gcd - gmaptz.img - gmapbmap.sum - gmapprom.sum - gmaptz.sum and some subfolders. Should I change anything on those ? I will also try to to change from gmapsupp to gmapsup1 on sd card as you suggested. Thanks for support, K.

Do not change anything, the only file you could delete is gmapprom.img which should be your old 2010 maps.
Your SD card cannot be larger than 32GB
A simple tool like [Please Register or Login to download file] is a safe way to see and manage your map files
