You have to unlock with MapSource unlocker - not with JM KeyGen!

I have downloaded both 2gb links twice over, however when extracted it says file is corrupt.

I used winrar, and 7 zip to extract, and got the same problem.

Use JDownloader - it minimizes the problem of crc errors.

okay, done that but the file seems to big. it is showing 2,083,936KB.

When i try and transfer it over to the device it say nt enough space.

The one i backed up originally 1,604,160KB

Any way of compressing this file. Or maybe even selecting a Euope map, but missing a few more countries.
???

Thanks

There are also some smaller versions in #1, #8 and #9 or best would be to make your individual image with MapSource/gmap version.

Guys thanks for the support....

But i was just about getting my head around the gmapprom and renaming of files. I haven't got a clue of where to start with gmapsource/gmap version. would really appreciate some steps of what to do. How to delete and what to delete. what the deletion file should be and what to upload on the device.

p.s. post 9 i think i understand. As it is the same img file, however does not include many countries at all. ( As option 1 on post 9 does not include UK, and option 2 doesn't include any European countries of any value)
Thanks.

I don't think the above post helps to be honest - but maybe i am missing something.

The First option is 2.39GB ( too big)

the second option does not include UK.

All the files - even thpugh they suggest are smaller than 2 gib - are not.

Post 9 files will not download (1.83GB).

You can use the Central Europe Version from Gmupakap as gmapprom.img and UK from bam-bam (last link in post #1) as gmapsupp.img. Or you download unlocked gmap-version from Gmupakap, install it with CNEUNT2012_40Update.msi and make your own image with MapInstall (included in this version).
