Because MapSource is now quite old and unsupported, it's best not used to compile img files from modern NT map data. You may get routing errors, device freeze or spontaneous reboots. MapInstall uses a different algorithm to compile img files more suited to modern gmap folders. It's fine to use MS for other purposes however.

Thanks for the reply,
I managed after a lot of failed attempts to download all three files. When I unpacked them winrar asked for the second file but not the third. I unpacked the third to the city nav directory but can't see how to proceed from here. My intention is to load it into mapsource or basecamp for checking routes on the PC.
Any advice would be appreciated.
