Coverage Details

Coverage of the Arabian Penninsula beginning at the Mediterranean Sea from Beirut to Alexandria. Coverage includes the Suez Canal, Gulf of Aqaba, and the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in their entirety. Includes the Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman, and coast of Somalia in the south. Coverage the of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, along the southern coast of the Gulf and Iran along the northern coast. Coverage of Yemen and Oman coasts along the Indian Ocean to the Gulf of Oman, including Pakistan along the north coast, with general coverage of the Arabian Sea from Qamar Bay to the Delta of the Indus River. Dear Colleagues, I recently bought a Garmin GPSmap 62s to use when off roading and when finding wrecks etc off the coast of UAE and Oman. I would like to try it with a map such as HAW005R however I am not sure if I can download, transfer to an SD card and use it on my GPS or whether I can upload map to GPS via cable connection. If either method is possible I would be grateful for an idiots guide on how to do it, Best regards, Dubaidiver

This map you can't download anymore, because it isn't longer available at the server.

If you find a working downloadlink, you simply have to download the file(s), extract them (e.g. with WinRAR or 7zip) and copy the .img file (mostly called gmapsupp.img) to a folder named Garmin on device or better on SD card.

I understand now thank you very much for the information and advice. I shall keep looking on the site and hope the file I am looking for becomes available again, many thanks

hi how to add maps on oregon 200 ??

Copy map image gmapsupp.img in folder Garmin on µSD or internal memory. With latest firmware you also can use several map images with [any name].img. The map images has to be unlocked.
