You can but you have to swap between them manually.

Keep the maps in there own separate folders, Patch both, swap between them in settings/manage maps/switch maps

Hi!

I have managed to unlock my navman 470. I guess next step is to install the navigation program in the device. Anyone can direct me to any threads about how to go around doing it and how it works?? I am quite keen on tomtom coz it seems like one of the better ones out there.

I notice when I get to the desktop on the navman, there's a SmartST program, which I am guessing is the orginal program the device is using...Should I leave it as it is or can I remove it? I am asking because I suppose the original maps I have in the device are going to take up tonnes of space on the meagre 2 GB internal memory. I have the entire device contents copied as a backup, so it should be fine if I ever need the original version again.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Jack

See the fourth post on page three of this thread...

http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?6385-poor-reception-on-navigo-V2-running-TT7/page3

It's for a M400 which is a similar device to yours.

If you delve into the folder structure on your device and locate the map folder you can move them to your PC to free up some space, The SmartST software without maps is about 50MB, With UK maps 180MB

DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING ELSE AS YOU WILL PERMANENTLY BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!!

Hi everyone!
Please help me. I tried to unlock my navman 470. It went badly wrong. It says: "program application database cannot be found". It's freezed after Mio welcome message. I can't edit or I can't enter into the flash memory. The PC don't see my device.

Thanks

I found an another description, its tell: rename AppStartupSec.exe to oldAppStartupSec.exe and copy the igo8.exe and rename to AppStartupSec.exe reboot and the Igo will start. I did it because I'm stupid.

Does the Mio/Navman 470 have a SD card slot?
