Help TomTom on Navman S70

Fri Nov 09, 2012 10:10 am

Hi Everyone,

I am helping a friend out and want to upgrade his Navman S70 to run TomTom with the latest maps.

I have downloaded the Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_890_4222 maps file but i doubt it could be the wrong one as its marked as non-working for PDA 7.x

Also would fastactivate work on the Navman?

Could someone please help me out and point me in the right direction?

You are far better off using IGO instead of TT ;)

Thanks,

I will start looking up for ifo on IGo.

So Downunder35m, just to be clear you are saying tom tom won't work on the S70?

Tomtom will work but iGO Primo is better.

There is... http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?8018-Run-Tomtom-on-Mio-Moov-and-Navman-S-series-(and-some-F-series)-in-ten-steps

But give Primo a chance first, it is better.

The Fastactivate link might not work, go to the Tomtom section to find the latest version.

The main problem has nothing to do with your device.
TT is outdated and only supports the most basic maps (PDA version).
Also saving your favourites can be quite tricky sometimes, on top of that you have to accept random freezes or even reboots.

Thanks, that was helpful. Will ask my friend to try out Primo for some time,

thanks again for your prompt replies.
