Which Navcore for a old good TomTom One ?

Thu Nov 27, 2014 9:24 pm

Hi all,

Juste an advice. I've got a 8.417 navcore which works well with a 8.70 Europe South Map, and a 2Gb SD Card.
I want to upgrade to 9.XX maps. Is it better to upgrade to a 9.XX navcore ? I've understood I have no choice : upgrade to 9.X navcore if I want 9.XX maps.

Which navcore 9.X to use ?

My PND :

TomTom One New Edition (4N00.004.2), 3.5" Screen.
Bootloader 5.5128.

Is this bootloader OK to manage 4Go SD Card ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same device : it runs on NC 9.170 SE with the latest 940 maps. BL is oké for + 2GB SD cards.
Works smoothly ;-)

Thank you very much !
I don't find any link here to download this 9.170 SE without registering, any help for this ?

[EDIT] : Found on satpimps, thanks.

You have been given some bad info. EVERY TT Map Edition [940 is current] has versions that can be used with older units & older navcores, as far back as navcore 7.8XX.

1. Next time, look in V8 & V9 Navcores post 1. There you will find Navcores from 9.702 all the way back to 8.351. At the bottom of post 1 in the archive are Official TomTom navcore .cab downloads from 6.257 to 9.702. We NEVER upload anything, that requires registering to download.
2. For quality control purposes, we don't support anything downloaded from elsewhere or a 3rd party. Sorry, but you are now on your own.
