What is the latest Go 930 Navcore?

Thu Feb 21, 2013 5:41 pm

I am currently running Navcore 9.465.xxxxxxx and want to install "North_America_2GB_900_4602".

Just wondering if there is an update to the Navcore that will work on my Go 930?

Thanks in advance! :)

9.465 is the current official navcore for your 930.

Thanks for the fast reply tendriver!

Once the new map is installed on my unit, will any updates via Tomtom Home affect the map install?

Are you referring to map share updates?

Thu Feb 21, 2013 7:19 pm

Correct! :)

I have "North America 855.2884" loaded currently and had not done any updates via Tomtom Home for over a year. When I updated last night, I was no longer able to use the map on my device.
I'm assuming it was an update via TT Home that nuked the map?

Once I used "FastActivate" I was then able to use the map again.

Is it Map Share updates

Was 9.465 on your 930 before you updated last night? Updating a map with map shares will not make it unusable.

Yes it was!

Nothing changed other than updates from TT!

Would your unit not boot or boot then reboot or you got a message or none of these??

The only time i had an issue is when i tried to switch from "Western Europe 2GB" back to my "Canada & USA 2GB" map!

I got a red screen (don't remember the error message) and it would not load the map. I tried using the reset button, setting back to factory defaults via "option", etc.
The only thing that brought the maps back was to run FastActivate!

Were both maps patched & functioning before you ran the TT Home update? Was this switching map issue on the the 930 itself or were you using TT Home "Operate my GO"?

Yes, both worked before the update. I was using the device directly, not through the PC!

I have no idea what caused your problem. I can only say that updating a patched map, with TT Home "Update my device" Map Share, will not cause the problem that you have described.

The important thing is that you have corrected the problem.

What it is worth, I'm running NAV 9.485 with 905.4754 maps on my G710. Do a full backup of your system, I always select all the files (Ctr+A) in Windows Expoklorer, make sure hidden files are shown, and then just zip them to your HD. and then follow instruction "how install new Navcore.." given in this forum.

What it is worth, this thread goes back to Feb.21.13 & was wrapped up on Feb.22.13. Not sure why you felt it necessary to post instructions in a completed thread.
