It wasnt off and I realized that tts is just working but its very slow. It even makes my tt freeze and restart constandly. I have tried to install 9x 32mb version but with that version I didnt had any sound at all so I have installed 9x xl version again and choose a non tts voice (the classic ones). This way it works fine. My tt xl has 32mb ram and 1gb space, but like I said, the navcore 9x 32mb version had no sound on my tt. Is there a way to use tts voice which uses less ram?

I have another question which is more important for me. Data transfer is extremely slow. It took almost 24 hours to install the navcore and 600mb map. I have read that it could be the bootloader. I have bootloader version 55136. Which version do I need to fix this on windows 10? Where can I download it and how can I install it?

1. You need to try a different navcore with an inbuilt swap file as your 32MB device is struggling to run all of the advanced features of the map & voice etc and therefore it reboots constantly. Give this one a try.

2. It's very unlikely to be the bootloader, it's probably a problem with the internal memory (storage) being corrupt or faulty. You can try running the [Please Register or Login to download file] 2 or 3 times to see if it helps or format/remake partition and starting from scratch. If your XL has an SD card slot....you should use that instead.

2. Thanks for your reply. I will definitely try it. My tt doesnt have sd card slot. I have already tried to format internal memory. Its standard formatted to FAT. I tried to format it to FAT32 but I get the same result. I will also try NTFS and also the clear fresh tool.

The 9510 32MB have the same issue. When I touch it I don,t hear the computer voice but when I make
a demo trip then the comp voice works on my one with 32MB ram. After a while, the swapfile got bigger and
the one runs more smoothly.
For a computer voice the best way is to use VocaliserTTS who gives less load to 32MB device.

The
5.5136 is known for his slow Data transfer. Lots of people got faster data transfer after installing
a higher bootloader. The most time a higher bootloader will help

Yes but not 24hrs surely?

If nothing else works then it's certainly worth a try

Clear flash tool didnt solve the problem so I decided to upgrade bootloader. After connecting to windows again I did a 'error-check' the disk and after that this solved my problem! Now it take few minutes to copy 100mb file in stead of 3 hours :)) I cant say if it was the bootloader or 'repairing' the disk because I didnt checked if the problem was solved after updating the bootloader. Thanks ppl!

Now I have to find dutch Vocalizer TTS. Unforetunately the links in this topic doesnt work anymore voices-f126/voices-vocalizertts-t926.html

@fredderf, thanks for sharing, but I already tried the loquendo TTS voices. These are too heavy for my 32mb RAM and 1GB TT XL. When I choose these voices my TT freeze and restarts. For example when it calculates the route or when I want to delete a route. Thats why I want to try the Vocalizer voices.

@holyhead, thanks! These are the voices I wanted to try. When I selected the voice for the first time, it also freezed en restarted my TT. After that it restarted 2 or 3 times more. But then no freezing and restart anymore. I can see that these voices also are little bit heavy for my TT. But I can live with it :) thanks again!

Hello all,
i am new at this forum, but I read a lot of advice on launching new maps for TomTom go910.
I have some troubles with maps probably.
When i install 9.510 for GO models 64MB, navi starts normally. Only no maps message is displayed, thats correct.
But when i copy maps into CF card and use activator with meta file - Europe-100933.meta.dct is created.
After these steps navi stuck start and after few minutes restarts and stuck again.

Could you help me?
Thanks

Make sure no old data files are left in the root of the device. Did you keep your old mapsettings.cfg file?
That can cause problems. Remove it or edit it from within TomTom Home.

I have mapsettings.cfg file. I back up it from original installation. Installation using TT Home with oficial maps and navcore.
Before installation navcore I formated CF card.

I have a question.
I install navcore directly to CF card using card reader. Not with navi conneted to PC. I have an issue with connection navi to PC.

When i choose "Operate my device" from TT Home, the navigation works - i can choose the map and it works.

Ignore what happens when you use 'Operate my device'....this tells you nothing as it is only an emulation.

Razorblatter has already told you that 'mapsettings.cfg' can cause problems....so try removing that old file from the map folder and try booting up the device again...what happens?

When i unlock map with activator, no mapsettings file is in map folder and when i try boot up - navi stuck start and after few minutes restarts and stuck again.
When i check map folder for mapsettings file - still no mapsettings file.
Can cause start freezing version of the bootloader?
