Tomtom one v3 problems with navcore 9.485

Postby maestro30 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 4:21 pm

Hi guys,

i have a tomtom one v3 (see below the information) and it always worked fine with Navcore 8562.
But now I wanted to upgrade my map to 915 or 920 but I see that a lot of maps are only supported with navcore 9.xxx (if you want ALG).
So I started to install a new navcore 9.485 with memory boost (from downunder).
It all installs well and seems to work well. I enter a route and it calculates the fastest route and it starts. Seems to work fine.
But then when it tries to do a re-calculation of the route my tomtom just hangs and after a few seconds it reboots.
So only after a recalculation it gives problems.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Of should I just pick another navcore? (recommendations?)

I have to add that I'm using an 8GB DSHC card.

Thanks guys.

Have you tried resetting it?

Otherwise I would suggest to use Downunder's 9.510 Universal NavCore Installer on a empty (but not reformated) device.
Perhaps that would solve the issue.

On a separate note you could download Europe_South v920 and install the new zip code version.

1. I suggest you try Downunder's Navcore 9.510. [187MB] The Universal NavCore Installer, recommended by a member, contains several navcores & is 443MB in size.
2. Your 8GB card is not an issue.

Thanks guys, I will try the Navcore 9.510. I'm downloading it right now.

Will post the results after installation etc.

I still have a question though, regarding the skin.
I've read something about the reskin file but honestly I don't know what to change if I want another skin (X40?).
I'm used to the old switch files from ttuser :-)

Open the file "reskin" on the folder "skins" with Notepad++
Edit the first entry so it shows the emulation you want to use.
It'll will make more sense once you see it.

This is how your 9.485 skin is set up.

Ok guys I have updated the navcore with 9.510 and I must say that it works great.
Also recalculation without any problems (yet).

I tried the skin chooser on the last menu page but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Is it possible to change the skin or is it not supported in 9.510?

I found some explanation about changing the first entry.
I now have: DSA emulation mode=25;25;25-GOx30;37-GO
So changing the first entry would mean: DSA emulation mode=40;25;25-GOx30;37-GO

Am I correct? Or what exactly is the first entry and what values can we change it into? 30? 40?
Just wondering how it works :-)

EDIT:
think I found it!
I have changed the skin file and now I have: DSA emulation mode=24-GOx40;25;25-GO
So the first entry is the first value left from the first ';' sign. That value can be changed by one of the others.
Just sharing for those who also couldn't find out (or maybe I'm the only one :-) )

Thanks for all the help guys. In the meanwhile I'm going to donwload map 920 with new zip files.
