Hello, I am newbie so don't know much about the GPS system.
With help of you guys I updated my Tomtom Go 910 to the following few months back

I just bought RDS TMC traffic receiver to use with it but it doesn't work.
Now I am wondering is there any newer update that I need to do to make it work?

Is this the receiver that you bought?

Please be more specific, "does not work" is not base to make suggestions.
Is the receiver recognised?
If so what do you see in the status bar for the traffic?
If you tap the traffic bar what does it say at the bottom of the page that pops up?
Do you get a circle or only a moving arrow for the reception?

@downunder35m- sorry I didn't explain in details but what happened is when I connect my navigation to the car mount it came with it says it is connected to the receiver even tho if I have not connected the receiver. It shows the arrow going over the car. It shows that no matter if I connect the receiver or not. I do not see anything else after and before I connect the receiver. I hope I have answered all the questions. If I m missing anything else or if you need anything else let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys ok so finally I got time to try my receiver on a different navcore to make sure it the receiver is bad.
So the conclusion is it WORKS!!!

But the problem is it works on Navcore 9.430 but NOT on the navcore 9.051 that I have.

So now what I m planning to do is ( as I read it on the other thread) I will manually change the mctx.dat from navcore 9.430 to this navcore 9.051 and see if it helps.

I will post it after I test that but 'till than if you have any thoughts that might help let me know.

I tried everything you say you will try on my 710 (which is practically the same as a 910), and it is a no go for me on 9.051 here, but on 9.430 it does work indeed. Why do you think 9.051 is better?

I just want to use the voice command feature in the 9.051, which is not available for the 9.430. If the voice command works on the 9.430 than I don't want to change it to 9.051. But I don't think its possible is it?

Voice Command is a GO x40 & X50 feature. For it to function with navcore 9.430, use the SE 9.430 ttsystem file & a model.txt file set to either X40 or X50 emu.
