TT One XL will not wake up after suspend with NC 9.x

Postby firefoxie » Fri Jun 20, 2014 5:14 pm

I'm a bit puzzled. I have a 32mb TT One XL, with a 2GB SD card.
I have tried 9.510 , 9.500 and 9.485 , but when I suspend the TT, it will never wake up.
I have to remove and re-insert the SD-card to make it power up again.

With the (official) 8.010 the suspend works just fine.
Also, I've seen other people reporting that NC 9.x works fine on the One XL.
So I guess it must be me. Any ideas ?

If you are using one of Downunder's mods for these 3 navcores, it is very possible that the emu/skin is set for a device that doesn't have the suspend feature. If so, set the emu/skin to self & test the wakeup feature.

Yes, all of them are Downunder's releases indeed. I had very good results on a One(3rd) before.

Okay: I tried setting the skin to 'self'. It still works great, but still hangs after power-off.
I wonder if it could be related to the map or something else that makes a non-working combination.

Update Edit: oh. I found something interesting. I copied over the One(3rd ed) installation (which is DU's 9.500 from the sticky threads).
Much to my surprise, after switching the One XL on and off, and waiting some time (5 - 10 minutes), I was actually able to turn the One XL back on.
After this, switching on and off is going much faster (seconds, not minutes).

It seems like it needs a really long time (5+ minutes) to suspend, the first time.
I have no idea why. Maybe it is related to slow swapping, configuration, or who knows what.

As far as the topic is concerned, the problem seems to be fixed.
Just thought I'd share this with you. Thanks!
