ONE XL Navcor

Tue Feb 28, 2012 3:19 pm

I've got an old ONE XL-S. The latest official Navcor is 8.010. I'd like to get a Navcor that would make this as close as possible to my GO 730 (IQ Routes, RDS-TMC, and all that) just so they both can work the same. Can I just load 9.400 on there or is there some problems with doing that or is there a better version for the ONE XL that gives IQ and traffic and can use the same maps?

Yes, but I am looking to get close to the 730 now, but before I was just asking a general question. Many Navcor's will work, but I don't know which would be the closest to the 730.

730 has 9.400, just released a couple of weeks ago.

Put 9.205 on the XL & set it to the same emu as the 730.

Thanks, I will try it.
Another question...how do I patch TT Home Mac version to allow to operate Go? None of the tools seem to allow patching Mac version. I have GO 730 (with TomTom 9.401 Navcor) and ONE XL (with 9.205 SE Navcor) and when I try operate unit in TT Home, I get "Can't use this map" error (map works fine on GO and ONE).

That's a new Navcor, but it doesn't say anything about TT Home. My problem is how to patch TT Home Mac version.

For the 9.205:
Home DLL

X_Navcore.9.205.547817.1.Basicpack
TT Home "Operate my device" Home dll folder ([email protected]" target="_blank) is also included in the basicpack.

The "][email protected] folder goes here:

With Mac:User's_e/Library/ApplicationSupport/TomTomHOME/Profiles/????????.default/Resources/Extensions/[email protected]/?-???-????-/.framework

9.401:

This is a pre-patched 9.401 dll file:

It goes in the same Mac location as the 9.205.

I don't have access to it on my side of the "Big Pond".

I'm sure that you'll hear from one of the regular TT mods soon.

There was tool designed for the Mac that allows patching and map activation.
I'm not sure if I ever downloaded it, but I will have a deep search of my 8TB of data and if it's there I'll post it here for you ;)

Edit: The tool is outdated but since nothing has changed for Home patching it should still work.
However, I might have a better and more interesting tool for you.
Since it is always a pain to use emulators on a Mac is you only need to run a tiny Windows program someone named DSA8310 designed a tool that works fine a MAC.
I have no Mac but if it is similar to the Win version you should like it.
Please check the Readme and after installation have agood read through the supplied help section.
It might sound a bit complicated at first but in the beginning it only took me 30 min to lear how creat a patched Navcore from scratch.
But I guess al you need to press the DLL/PND button, search for the Home DLL and patch it.

If I put that Basicpack folder where you said, Home crashes when I choose to operate ONE. That folder has a .dll file in it which Mac does not use, so I think these files are for PC only, not Mac. There must be different version of files for Mac Home.

The path should read:
