Yep, it's ancient, my One 3rd edition, but it will suffice...
It's been a while since it was updated but it's badly needed...
Hopefully all i need to do is get the right/best/fastest navcore & latest map for Benelux

Would i be able to run navcore 9 or would that be overkill ?
And if so which one ?

I have downloaded "UNCI.exe" (Universal Navcore Installer)
but i'm not shure if i should use it...
Any help/suggestions welcome...

Ok, already backed up the contents of my One v3 (copied all to my laptop)
1.
Read the unci post and after formatting the TomTom
i figure i need to copy the "voice"-folder and ttgo.bif back to the TT ?
I guess computer voices won't work on my Onev3 but i would be happy to keep my current voices...
2.
maybe a stupid question but isn't there a way/tool that can generate a meta for the recent 9.40-version maps ?
Or can that only be done with already activated maps? Did some reading but don't kow exactly how that works...
3.
if i use the suggested 935-maps-version do i need to create a meta.txt in the Benelux folder containing the code you posted with the links ? or how do i use/integrate that meta-code ?

1. Navitotal NEVER suggests formatting anything, except in the most severe cases.
1b. Correct.
1c. This is addressed in THE UNCI POST 1 INSTRUCTIONS.
2. A user can generate a meta code with FastActivate only for a map that the user has bought from TT.
3. No. ALL of the 935 meta codes are already included in the Integrated Meta.txt, that is in the downloaded FastActivate package. We post the meta codes with the maps, so members will know that the map is usable.

Thought activation was included, but ok, i kinda figured it out

Now i will try to activate my preferred voice because it only does the old standard voice and i forgot how to add/change it...
I copied all the voices i had, but they don't seem to be recognised.
Maybe some skins too...
Any pointers are more than welcome

it's giving that error because your map is not patched or ttsystem file.

EDIT: run as admin then once it's running from navigator then click on "ACTIVETE ALL MAPS AND POI'S" one finish that click on "PATCH NAVCORE" that's it, try and let us know.

i found your problem, open block note then paste this code then save as meta.txt and copy it to navigator then try to click on "ACTIVETE ALL MAPS AND POI'S" one finish that click on "PATCH NAVCORE" post the results

This is totally unnecessary. The meta code is already in the F/A Integrated Meta.txt.

1. Confirm you have copied the Voices folder back into your unit.
2. You SHOULD have a folder titled "skins". In it SHOULD be a file titled "reskin". Open it with NotePad. You SHOULD see 1 line of numbers & letters. Copy that line & post it here.

3. antitheft.bmp, splash.bmp, suspend.ogg & splash.ogg have been copied to the root from the backup of my prior setup.
the bmp's/visual work , but the ogg's/audio unfortunately remain mute

additionaly:
4. my voices selection-options in menu contain only two possibilities:
Bram, Dutch (which works)
Richard, English US (stays mute, selection causes TT to remain silent until selection of Bram AND reboot. If no reboot TT will remain mute)

(Preferred voice for me would be "Mike1978" = data89.chk + data89.chk.dct (*.dct was created by fastactivate) + data89.tlv + data89.vif + data89.bmp)

2. Your menu looks different because the emulation is set for a GO X30 menu.
3. Put all of these in the map folder, not in the root. The .bmp & .ogg must have the same name. example: splash.bmp & splash.ogg
4. See point 5.
5. Delete all of the chk.dct files in the voices folder, then the voices SHOULD work.
