    To prevent TT Home from downloading & installing Navcore 9.465
    Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
    Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
    ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9465
    ApplicationVersion=1074274.1
    Save this change by clicking "File" in the upper left corner of windows explorer, then "Save as" ttgo.bak. At this point, there is only a ttgo.bak file in the root, no ttgo.bif.
    Disconnect & reboot. Now you will have a ttgo.bak, a ttgo.bif & a ttgo.ori file in the root & no TT Home upgrade to Navcore 9.465.

    If you have problems finding a TMC station, download the attachment and replace the mcxt.dat in the root of your device with the contents of the archive.

After a stupid update with Home and correcting with Fast activate the following information is displayed on the information screen.
Device AK...........
App 9.465
etc.etc.
Then NF mark:NF469-12/29, 12/30, 12/34 to 12/42
Map Europe_West_895_4438
My question is what does the NF information mean?
The unit works with no problems
I am just curious?

Thanks

What information are you referring to?

Sorry if my explanation is not clear. The information is shown on the TomTom Go920 screen where you can see the Device information on the unit e.g. Device ????. App 9.465. 64 MB RAM. GPS v1.20. Boot 5.5120.
Then a line with NF mark as stated in post. Then Map information.
Hope this helps.

The NF approval certificate for TomTom Danger Zones can now be viewed via the About screen in the Settings menu.

I have done the above changes to the bif file but once rebooted it changes the details back to 9430 and my old app number.
I even tried changing the file to read only.I have also never had any ttgo.ori file on my go730.
I must be doing something stupidly wrong.
Thanks for any help.

Hi all,

Arf... I have updated the navcore with tomtom home and use the fastactivate 5.10.2012 it say that The patch for the maps and navcore are done but when I switch on my gps I have the error this can not be used on this gps...

I will restore my backup....

Please check if a .dct file was created in the map folder - this would confirm the map is ready to go.
If you only updated the NC all you need is patch it, in case patching doeas not work the first time:
Replace the existing ttsystem/PNDnavigator file(s) on your device with the originals from the TT .CAB archive, use FA again to patch the NC.

Other option would be to use the 9.485 I posted, it is identical apart from the added suport for asian keyboards and maps.

Your map is not patched. Put FastActivate 1.8.9.0 & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the map folder. Rerun F/A to patch the map.
