Link to ttsystem seems to be broken again.

It seems more that you don't use it correctly as the link works just fine.

Delete any ttgo.bif, ttgo.bak or ttgo.ori files on you device. Copy the attached ttgo.bak into your unit and reboot.

I just fixed the problem thanks a french site [Please Register or Login to download file] Only, Please!!) The tool is quite simple to use. As soon tthome is patched, you can choose if you want update or not. Note that the tool uninstall your tthome if the version is recent.

There isn't, nor has there ever been, a requirement to patch TT Home, before you can upgrade anything with it. Patching TT Home is only needed to use "Operate my device", which is only a emulation/simulation & should not be used for upgrading/updating anything.

Before patching, i had a poor choice : either no update at all (navcore, quickgpsfix, mapshare), either navcore and if i want quickgpsfix and/or mapshare. navcore update was mandatory
After patching, it was possible to refuse navcore update and get quickgpsfix and mapshare : exactly what i want because i fear to have some problems when updating navcore : I used fastactivate to get a new map.

The link is in French, so I was unable to verify the content. With no verification & Navitotal being an English Only Forum, the link has been deleted.

In your "how to" you say Upgrade to navcore 9.465, how exactly? Using Tomtom home or what? What is the purpose of the downloaded file then?
I read the tutorial for upgrading the navcore and it's not working, there is a link "SE_ttsystem.8.412.1236.rev1.1.rar". That link is dead. Even if it was working, I'm wondering if it would work with all tomtom go models? (mine is a GO930)

The 9.465 is current. The V8 you selected is a real oldie and no wonder there are no active links anymore.
No one wants a V8 these days.
