I got the link to work many thanks. I noticed that in the first post it mentioned the tmc fix. Does this sort out the issues in Australia??

I don't know what issues that should be...

Mon Dec 16, 2013 11:38 pm

I spoke to Tomtom around 6-12 months ago and they stated that they no longer support the tmc in Australia and they no longer use suna for traffic updates. They then proceeded to try push me to buy a new unit which utilises the new HD Traffic

They told you wrong.
Suna still works fine, same for FM TMC systems using it.
The only thing TT did, and they I confirmed myself with their support, is the wrong mctx.dat file.
But this was/is an ongoing problem with them anyway, the last fully working mctx.dat for G=730 was within the 8.351 Navcore - which is used in my releases as the "TMC fix".
At until yesterday the TMC was still working fine hereon my TT.

No worries thanks for the explanation, I wondered why it was working one day and then not the next after an update.

I installed this navcore on a Tomtom XXL Classic 64mb version, after install I have no sound at all. Also I noticed that the auto day/night switch is no longer in this version firmware is that because of the modified navcore?

Please read the instructions and at least the first three pages of this thread.

I read and followed all of the instructions. Many thanks I will just stick to the 9.465 stock firmware till its able to be installed on my unit.

Why use the old 9.465 instead of 9.510, the current official navcore for a XXL?

I have tried the 9.510 form the universal installer and it freezes on startup. So i gave up on trying to get it to work. I would like to use a newer navcore but it seems to be problematic for me. Maybe its because its the classic xxl not the xxl540

Simply check the the discussion threads fo my Navcores in regards to the reskin file.
If you edit it so your XXL starts directly in, let's say X40 emulation, it should not freeze.
Your problem is that the native XXL mode seems to be unsupported and by default my Navcores start in the emulation that the device would run natively.

What did you expect to gain by using the 9.510 universal installer version instead of the stock version or SE version?

BTW, being a classic xxl, not a xxl540, makes no difference.

I finded solution for no sound. I have Tomtom XL 64mb without sd slot. After instal this navcore all function including auto on/off is working but no sound. So i use x40 skin for make all setups like auto-on, speed cameras warring etc and i change to standard (SE) skin and i have all sounds and auto on/off working. After all i make one more setups. In file "suicide.dat" I change time from 1800sec (30min) to 172800sec (48hours) because tomtom after 30min dont remember to swith on device after connecting charger. Now tomtom remember this function for 48hours.
