Hi I made backup of tomtom xl and deleted all files except the tomtomhome.exe on the tomtom xl.
I then copied Navcore.8.412.1236 to the tomtom and then pulled the usb plug from bottom of tomtom the screen froze on the tomtom with the hand and circle around it.

I pluged back into pc and it is sitll frozen, holding down the on button wont reboot it.

I tried the flash tool but it cant seem to see tomtom prob cause tomtom hasnt asked to be connected to pc as he is frozen.

Any advice appreciated. and you guys rock I muct add.

After scaring the crap out of myself, I found the reset button on the bottom pushed with small wire, pen didnt work, then plugged it back into pc and rebooted, computer found it , deleted the downgrade and put back the 9.151.6005385 verson and it appears fine now.

Scary as its my brothers , thought I knew what I was doing.. phew

This issue occurred because the device was not disconnnected correctly. Now you know the cause & the cure.
