Hi everybody,
I have this device Tomtom XL (30 Series) TTS* / 330S - 1GB and the following on it :
App 8.010 (9369/080529)
OS: 190943
32 MB RAM
GPS v1.21 Boot 5.5011
Map: 'Europe_1GB_West' V950.6544

Can I do something about this one ? New map maybe ? When I open Home it does tell me that 2 updates for my map are available ...?
Can i add special voices to it , I remember 8 years ago I did manage to install new map and voices on another Tomtom (forgot how), Ozzy Osbourne's voice was very funny indeed, so can I do it on this one as well ?
I didn't want to start another Thread for my stupid questions that maybe were asked xxx times again and again , if somebody can give me a quick answer would be great.
Thank you all !
PS: I do own a Start 60 with Lifetime maps, but the wife wants it for her car because is "better" :022:

Check my installers for the latest Navcores.
Check if any voice you like is available in our voice section.
Check the current map thread if the map of your choice is available and has a meta code posted.
If all is good install the Navcore of your choice through the installer, add the voice(s) and map and activate the map using the latet FastActivate.

All additional info you might need can be found in the corresponding postings with the download offer, or in the case of my installers from within.

The advantage is that you can use maps with alg and IQ routes

advanced lane guidance and intelligent routes

[Please Register or Login to download file]

And sometimes TTS (text to speech) computer voices are possible

So it means that you give an old TomTom the functionality of a newer one.

So try the 1.NC9.510_DSA_comp_voices_UK.zip
[Please Register or Login to download file]

Download unzip and place the file and folders on the One (Always make a backup before
you start).

Also, you have more choice of maps
Look at the chart Horizontal the navcores
maps-v9xx-f179/all-new-maps-975-976-t19030.html

Then vertical the Green Y
To the left, the maps wich can be used with the navcore
To the right wich features the map have. Those features only have use if your device supports them.
i.e the One has no microphone so a map wich support it has no use
At least there must be a meta for the map. So no meta the map has no use at all.
maps-v9xx-f179/meta-codes-975-976-t19031.html

We like to hear the result GOOD or BAD

One word of warning: If you have a device with (only) 1 GB storage be advised that the modified 9.510 software will take about 100 MB extra of your valuable storage capacity. This might conflict with the size you need for the country coverage you want. There's no value for added features if you can't use them on the maps you need.

Yes, but you should have a complete backup of your current system before you make any changes so you can restore it back if necessary.
Make sure Windows Explorer has 'Show all hidden files & folders' option ticked, then copy ALL of the device contents to a safe place.

Only when that is done, see Holyheads post #425 above & download: 1.NC9.510_DSA_comp_voices_UK.zip
Also follow his instructions to get a new map

Hmmm, the file has expired. Can I do the same with the Universal Navcore Installer, or is this file modified?

Thanks. I would be nice to try the Rider Navcore. Any chance this might work?

Edit: it did work, now to get Voice working and find a good map!
