remove software Visual shell from mio moov 370

Mon Jan 24, 2011 7:38 am

Did you install the shell at all? I mean, if you did - how can you ask such a question? :) Just do the installation process reversed! :)

edit back your appstartupsec.ini or processmgr.ini to run miomap (or copy it back from backup) and then reboot. If miomap/spirit runs, it is ok, then just delete 3 visual folders...

Hello,

I installed Visual without problems on my moov 370, but I can't access the bluetooth configuration (peering, ...)...
When I push the bluetooth icon, I end up on a contact menu with no possibility to configure anything (there is a grayed icon with someone next to a BT logo), and if I try the bluetooth icon in the control panel, it does silently nothing...

I also tried to manually start "MioBT.exe" or "MioBTCore.exe", without any result... It's like the BT hardware is not detected, even if it works normally when I start the device without the unlock...

Has someone any idea ?

Thanks

This is how it should work.

Yes, on Moovs this is not supported by the system.

That doesn't work like that. The only way to run BT is through Miomap. You have to run miomap and pair the device and from that time on BT will be on. You can run contacts to dial from Visual, and incoming calls will automatically pop-up, but pairing HAS to be done through MioMap software.

Talaki:

just connect your GPS to a PC and open visual.ini file in notepad. then find the [Route66] section and delete everything under it, i.e.:

Code:
[Route66]
PATH=\My Flash Disk\ROUTE66_V9\ROUTE 66 Maps.exe

Hope that helps.

Hi!

Great job with the visual unlock. Works great with the mio s505.

What about the possibility of having the notepad text editor and a keyboard software? is it possible?

It should be possible, but I cant make the keyboard driver work. Any help is welcome :-)

until now, i am able only to include the notepad and the keyboard as extra applications (in the list with the 8 applications). It would be good to manage to turn the keyboard on when you have opened the document, but i wasn't able to do that.

so, first i have to open the keyboard, and after that I open notepad (inside notepad i choose the file that i want to open/edit), where I can edit the text files.

It's not perfect, but for the moment it's enough :D.
