Did you first return your device as Fatboyfun suggested before you tried the unlock and make a complete backup to a safe place just in case?

I've been told that this unlock for the Mio C-series also worked with the Mio Spirit series. However, you must be able to see the device in the computer's My Computer in order to copy/paste files. If you want to try it, you do so at your own risk.

EDIT: You also may want to look at this [especially towards the end]:

erased the internal storage
copied all the igo8 files in the program files folder
editted appstartupsec.ini

Process1]
RelativePath=FALSE
ProcessFile=Program Files\igo\igo8.exe
ProcessCmdLine=
ProcessDbgCmdLine=
MaxRestarts=3
Major=TRUE
WindowName=igo
MaxCloseMessages=10

put all the files in the program files folder

I bricked my mio moov m300, and read on navitotal that ik had to switch the button from hard reset to on until my computer recognized it.
10 minutes and 100 tries later my computer said ''bliep'', Tank You Navitotal!
This is how my appstartupsec.ini looks like:
[Process1]
RelativePath=FALSE
ProcessFile=Program Files\Navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe
ProcessCmdLine=
ProcessDbgFile=
ProcessDbgCmdLine=
MaxRestarts=3
Major=TRUE
WindowName=TomTom Navigator
MaxCloseMessages=0

[Process2]
RelativePath=False
ProcessFile=Program Files\Navman\Mort.exe
ProcessCmdLine=
ProcessDbgFile=
ProcessDbgCmdLine=
MaxRestarts=0
Major=FALSE
WindowName=Mort
MaxCloseMessages=0

Whenever i power the device, it goes straight to tomtom with brightness and volume to 100% :)
It crashed everytime until i set the last line form mortscript to sleep(900000000), thats 28 years:), is there a easier way?
