Are you putting the map folder inside another folder? The map files (Cline.dat etc) should be ONE folder level away from the root, ie...

\My Flash Disk\{Australia}\Cline.dat

Don't worry about the iexplore error, it is normal on these devices as internet explorer is not installed.

Have you run the keygen (fast activate) and did it create a dct file in the map folder?

@fatboyfun

The folder setup seems to be right \My Flash Disk\Australia , but there is no other file other than map file. (No cline.dat or any other files for that matter).

@NRT

Run keygen (fast activate) . Only file it seems to create is META.txt in \MY FLASH DISK\. No .dct file. Also in MAP folder tere is no other file other than the file I downloaded which is map file Australia.

What am I not doing right guys?? :confused:

There should be at least 14 files in the map folder, more if you have speed cameras and dct file after activation.
The latest map is: Australia_890_4261 with a meta.txt of:
; Australia v890.4261
F1 E7 7E 2D 51 A7 30 8D F2 28 C1 45 D3 0C 59 89 Australia-591.meta

Did you use winrar to extract the files? you should end up with several files in a folder, one being cline.dat.

You will need to turn off "hide known file extensions" on your PC

The resolution is to small to read, What we need to know is what is inside the folder called Australia. When you downloaded the Australian map it would have had a rar file extension, you need to use winrar to open it and then copy the files into your Australian map folder and then run the keygen.

@NRT
Finally some progress, The Australia file did not show up as rar file so I never opened it through winrar, even after I changd show file xtensions . Anyway now I have got more than 14 files like you guys said in Map folder including "cline.dat". There were two more files when I unzipped it which was "call.bat" and "TAASE.EXE" outside of Map folder which I copied to the root of device.

After running fastactivate the device is still unable to find the map. It says "No Maps found" and offers me to download 1 free map.

Appreciate your help guys!!!

Is there a dct file in the map folder? Not sure about "call.bat" and "TAASE.EXE" I would delete them.

Confirm that Cline.dat is one folder level away from the root...

\My Flash Disk\Australia\Cline.dat

Or when viewed on a PC...

X:\Australia\Cline.dat - Where X is the drive letter allocated.

885.4021 is not compatible with Tomtom Navigator

Use Australia_885_4022 instead as NRT suggested earlier

You don't need to use the automatic installer and patcher version
